SMS Consent
Verbal opt-in for customer-initiated service requests
Waypoint Voice sends text messages only after a caller expressly agrees during the call. The caller initiates contact by calling a participating local service business. If the call is not answered, Waypoint Voice answers, identifies itself, and presents the following consent request.
Automated voice prompt
“Waypoint Voice can continue this service request by text. You may receive 1 to 6 messages. Message and data rates may apply. Reply HELP for help or STOP to opt out. Consent is not a condition of purchase. Terms and privacy are available at voice.waypointworkflows.com. Press 1 to agree and receive texts, or press 2 to decline.”
If the caller presses 1
The system confirms: “Thank you. You are enrolled to receive texts about this service request. Waypoint Voice will text you now.” Waypoint records the consent date and time, caller telephone number, call identifier, consent method, and consent-language version before sending the initial SMS.
If the caller presses 2 or does not respond
The system confirms that no text message will be sent. No SMS conversation is created if the caller declines, makes no selection, or disconnects.
Message purpose and frequency
Messages are limited to the customer-initiated service request and may collect the service need, service ZIP code, and preferred callback window or provide request confirmations and status updates. Message frequency varies and is typically 1–6 messages per request. No purchased lists, cold outreach, or unsolicited marketing messages are used.
Help and opt-out
Reply HELP for assistance. Reply STOP to opt out at any time. Message and data rates may apply. Consent is not a condition of purchase.
